Murfreesboro drainage checklist
French Drain Installation Homeowner Checklist
The most helpful drainage notes are concrete: where water comes from, where it collects, how long it sits, and what stands between the wet area and a safe outlet. Use the checklist below before requesting a callback.
Homeowner checklist
- Take wide photos showing the wet area, house, driveway, walkways, downspouts, and likely slope.
- Take close-up photos of standing water, washout, soft turf, exposed roots, stains, or erosion lines.
- Estimate the length of the wet run and note whether a safe discharge area is visible.
- Note access gates, fences, buried utilities, irrigation lines, pets, HOA constraints, and cleanup concerns.
- Describe whether this is a chronic storm issue, a recent grade change, or an urgent foundation/patio concern.
